Terms of Service

Last updated: 1 May 2026

By accessing or using orcs.to (chat.orcs.to) you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. Alpha status

orcs.to is pre-release Alpha software. It is provided for early testing and feedback only. We make no guarantees of uptime, availability, or stability. There is no SLA. The service may be modified, suspended, or shut down at any time without notice. Do not rely on orcs.to for mission-critical work.

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to use orcs.to to:

  • Generate, distribute, or store illegal content of any kind.
  • Send spam, phishing messages, or unsolicited bulk communications.
  • Abuse compute resources — including flooding the service with automated requests or attempting to exhaust sandboxed execution capacity.
  • Attempt to extract model training data, reverse-engineer model weights, or circumvent safety measures.
  • Impersonate other users or organisations.
  • Use the service in any way that violates applicable law or regulation.

3. No warranty

The service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Model outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or harmful. You are responsible for evaluating any output before acting on it.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, orcs.to and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service.

4. Account termination

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse the service, or engage in behaviour that we determine — at our sole discretion — to be harmful to the service or other users. We will attempt to notify you by email before termination where practical.

5. Intellectual property

You retain ownership of the content you submit (your prompts, conversation messages, and code). By submitting content you grant orcs.to a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and process it solely to operate the service.

We do not use your conversations to train language models. Model weights are provided by third parties under their respective licences.

6. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of France (European Union). Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of France, without prejudice to your rights as a consumer under the law of your country of residence within the EU.

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms at any time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. For material changes we will attempt to notify registered users by email.
